San Antonio

It was a beautiful but a little chilly in the morning on the ride to San Antonio. All went well and stopped briefly in Austin and met a really nice man named Art at the gas station. We got to talking about service work and he shared of a missions trip he did to Africa. The conversation somehow got there from talking about travel in general and then how nice it is to go and help others in whatever capacity you can. I explained about the orphanage and he shared a story about how kids understand love and can see that much better than adults. He also passed along a toy that he wanted me to give to one of the kids that I cross paths with. It was a really nice gesture and thought it would be nice to include him because he in a way inspired me.

I am very impressed with how nice the riverwalk area of San Antonio is
and the group is all here minus Chris who should be arriving tonight. Tomorrow morning we leave for Mexico and we will begin this part of the trip. Very exciting and will hopefully be able to update this along the way. Hard to say....there are unknowns which is partly the fun part. Learning as you go.
