San Miguel De Allende

Packing and maintaining the bikes preparing for the next town San Miguel De Allende which is a beautiful town over 200 miles south. It is very art focused and recieves a lot of foreign travelers and others living and working in Mexico. We met one woman with a beautiful 250 year home who was 93 and spunky as can be. Dorothy Jacobsen followed an artist/husband down here and will never leave. She has family that comes to visit and her children and grand children have wonderful opportunities to experience this side of Mexico and spread the word back in the states that Mexico is a truly remarkable place.

One interesting discussion we had was how traveling by motorbike is a somewhat individualistic way to travel. However the neat part is we are all having our own little experience that we can share with one another. The accumulation of these experiences coupled with the uncertainties along the way really make this something that I feel veryt lucky to be a part of.

  1. As a moto riding San Miguel resident, I welcome you to San Miguel. We have many lovely rides around town, as well as riders who meet weekly for beer and conversation at the Longhorn Barbecue on Wednesdays at 5 pm.
